These photographs come from a short time spent in the The Dartmoor, a national park in Devonshire, in the west of England. My favorites are the wild ponies and horses that roam the park in small herds. They generally shy away from people, but now and then you can get close enough to a young pony for a decent photograph. Other features of this area are the Tors that rise above the landscape. These mounds are metamorphic batholiths weathered to form rocky outcrops where the soil has eroded.
