It took about a year for me to create this series of paintings. The project itself began shortly after I came to China. The paintings are kind of my personal reaction to visual communication and aesthetics that I met in China. For this reason, they are combination of European and Chinese. The paintings show my own vision of Chinese ornamentation and symbolism. I wanted to highlight a beauty, details and decoration. These paintings are going as a series together, and that is the only way I can connect and interpret them. Only as a whole, they have meaning, because they are linked to each other with heritage and tradition. Only together, they form a whole, just like twelwe months a year. This completes one cycle.
