To prepare for my semi-abstract landscapes acrylic paintings, I observe the rolling shapes of hills and valleys, the waving wheat and various light effects provided by different angles of the sun. Similarly, I am intrigued with the intricate patterns, color and movement of the sky. With strong brush strokes, and only the barest recognition of bluffs, fields and atmosphere, I invite the viewer to contemplate color composition and mood.
