Landscapes speak to us. They rise and fall, express moods and personalities, are chaotic or calming, hostile or welcoming, warm or cold. My collection of landscapes for now are of the area I live - Orcas Island in northwest Washington State, and the nearby mountains. In general, I like to capture and express beauty and an idyllic environment of slightly heightened reality. Most of my landscape images are true to form and scale, but, as with my past history of drawing and painting, I also like to combine geographically separated locations into the same image. I will always notate this in the description of the image.
