Although I am basically a figure painter I have always loved landscape and seascape painting and admire the Impressionists and the way they approached the subject. What I try to do when painting nature is to catch the essence of what I see and paint it to canvas in a modern style while always experimenting with new ways of applying the media I am using at the time.
