This emblem symbolizes many different meanings to many different people and cultures. For me, it represents the strength, passion and pride of my family, my friends and my hometown of New Orleans. I am in awe of the strength my family and friends have continued to have throughout the last three years. Those of us fortunate enough to have the honor of calling New Orleans home have a passion and zeal for life like no other. The history, magnetism and joie de vivre of this healing place are all embodied in a uniquely respected pride. I currently live near Louisville, Kentucky with my own family, where the Fleur de Lis is found around almost every corner. The Fleur de Lis was officially adopted to represent the city in 1953. This emblem was the symbol of King Louis the XVI, Louisville's namesake. (Fortunate for me, since I treasure every beautiful thing that reminds me of the Big Easy!) Even if the Fleur de Lis means something very different for you, it is my hope that this piece adds a warm touch to your home or office.
