In 2013, I painted in Paris for 6 weeks in September. I rented an apartment in the Marais arondissement of Paris. I painted in a different cafe or bar everyday. Except there was one cafe in my neighborhood that I returned to most every day. My theme started out as red awning series, as so many are red in Paris, but expanded to include other interesting settings like the PMU Bar painting, for example.
